Jack Darnall Receives
Award at National
Conference
At a recent leadership conference in Dallas, Texas, ABC
National recognized individuals from across the United States
who have shown a major commitment to the association's
endeavors, as well as played an instrumental role in recruiting
new members. Alabama's inductee to the Beam Club Hall of
Fame was Jack Darnall of Brasfield & Gorrie.
Darnall, who currently serves as Regional President at Bras-
field & Gorrie, was in attendance for this special recognition.
Joining him for the celebration reception were former chair-
men of ABC National's board, along with Alabama representa-
tives Jay Reed, David Pugh and Randall Curtis. ABC President
Jay Reed remarked that during Darnall's year as chairman, he
ensured that there was an emphasis put on membership recruit-
ment for all chairmen succeeding him. "The great thing about
those members Jack recruited was their true concern about the
well-being and state of our industry," said Reed. "To this day,
I can still point to contractors playing a leadership role in our
association that Jack introduced to us."
The Beam Club was established in 1966 to recognize ABC's
top membership recruiters for their commitment to growing
the association.
