When TODD ROB I N S came to Alabama
after graduating from what was then Virginia
Polytechnic Institute, he came with one plan:
build great things. To accomplish that, he formed
Robins Engineering, and took on his first project:
a modest 800-square foot Shell service station
for $75,000. Many projects followed, and during
the late '40s and early '50s, Robins Engineering
began to make its name as a company that
focused on the client.
BAR RY MORTON began working for the
company in 1953 as a high school student, and
the relationship continued throughout his time
at Auburn University to help cover his tuition and
living expenses. After graduation, Barry worked
on many of the company's large-scale milestone
projects and became part owner in 1975.
