C O M | 2 0 5 - 3 2 6 - 1 4 0 9 The Facts: Crystalline Silica in Construction 29 CFR §1926.1153 • OSHA's final rule on Occupational Exposure to Crystalline Silica in Construction effective June 23, 2016, inforce June 23, 2017 • Full compliance date is September 23, 2017 • Dramatically reduces the permissible exposure limit (PEL) for crystalline silica to 50 micrograms per cubic meter of air averaged over an 8-hour shift, Action Level is 50% of PEL.
