49 JAN-MAR 2018 AL CONSTRUCTION NEWS OSHALOGS OSHA REPORTING IS NOW MUCH EASIER THANKS TO OSHALOGS. OSHAlogs is a secure, web-based application that enables employers to create accident reports, track injuries, print required OSHA documents and view injury metrics in real time. The platform is 100% cloud based, and even works on both Apple and Android platforms. With the software, companies can automatically generate all sorts of OSHA forms, including OSHA 301 incident reports, OSHA 300 logs, OSHA 300. It all starts by filling out one online form, then you can view, download and print all required OSHA forms. The process is even made easier thanks to the software's ability to make changes automatically between forms to keep everything correct and uniform. Byars/Wright Insurance has exclusivity for OSHAlogs for the state of Alabama, and the service is free for all ABC members. "OSHAlogs is a must-have software for any company in the construction industry," said Gabe Clement of Byars/Wright. "There are so many benefits to utilizing the application. It saves contractors time, provides the ability to track required information and lets you do it all in an up-to-date way." FUEL CARD PROGRAM FOR 40 YEARS, MCPHERSON OIL HAS BEEN HELPING COMPANIES SAVE ON THEIR FLEET'S FUELING EXPENSES, AND NOW IT'S OFFERING THOSE SERVICES TO MEMBERS OF ABC OF ALABAMA. Fuelz offers the Fuelz card, which is a customizable fueling solution that saves businesses time and money by streamlining and managing its fuel purchases. Created by a fuel company instead of a credit card company, the card helps keeps businesses on the move by helping company leaders take control of companywide fuel expenses. The program allows for per-gallon rebates and discounts, customization options through an online portal for account management, real time controls that lets company leaders track expenses and quickly identify unauthorized purchases, customize notifications and view transactions. On average, customers who use the Fuelz card report savings of 10 to 15 percent due to elimination of unauthorized purchases such as beverages and cigarettes, and real time alerts identify and prevent fraud and theft. Unlike many other cards, the Fuelz card has no card fees, transaction fees, report fees or annual fees. And it's convenient: in addition to a Fuelz locator app that's available on both Apple and Anddroid phones, there are more than 60,000 sites available nationwide. ABC of Alabama members are benefiting from the combined purchasing power of the entire association, and therefore will receive a $0.02 per gallon discount on gasoline and a $0.04 per gallon discount on diesel purchases. So, for example, a member that purchases $100,000 in a year will save $4,750. " We are very proud to partner with the ABC association to provide fleet services to ABC and its members," said Ken McPherson, president of McPherson Oil. "Since 1971, McPherson Oil has helped businesses lower their fleet expenses through superior reporting and controls. As a new ABC member, we look forward to working with ABC to accomplish their goals and initiatives." "ABC strategically has identified several partners that ensure that membership discounts and services matter," added ABC of Alabama President Jay Reed. "This is one of those programs. Aside from human resource expenses, construction companies spend an exorbitant amount managing their fleets and fuel costs. We already have eight members enrolled in the program prior to launching. When our association ran the numbers for two mechanical subcontractors based on their mileage last year, the savings matter. It's that simple." To apply for a Fuelz card, log on to www. and click on the Fuelz link. The group code is "ABC" and the database will confirm your membership to take advantage of the savings. JOURNAL Two New ABC Member Discount Programs for 2018 ABC of Alabama is proud to announce two new partnerships that can help members work safer.
